Q.: Can you comment the match?
A.: I was a little bit tense at the beginning, first
round is never easy. I’m happy to have won, I hope it
goes better as the week goes on.
Q.: You have very much improved from last year…
A.: Yes, last year I lost first-round qualies. Conditions
couldn’t be more different. I’m very happy to start
this tournament on the Centre Court. It’s much better.
Q.: What are the differences in your game this year?
A.: I’ve tried to be more aggressive, to go more often
to the net, but today it wasn’t so good because it was
windy. Maybe more constant during the match and week
after week…
Q.: What about your confidence?
A.: It is difficult to say because you get confident
as the week keeps going. For the moment first round
is good to win and it’s gonna get my confidence back.
Each tournament you have to start again.
Q.: What are the tactical improvements you still need?
A.: Finishing more points at the net, going more often
to the net. Being more strong in my head.
Q.: Do you want to say something else about your private
life? Do you think is fair of us to make such questions?
A.: That’s not the problem, I’ve already said all I
had to say, I would only repeat myself and it wouldn’t
be interesting.
Q.: Is it true that your parents didn’t want you to
play tennis?
A.: No, not at all.
